Fun to Turn, 90-Degree Power Transmission
Turn the handle, and the rotational force is transmitted, changing direction by 90 degrees. This model allows you to learn the simple yet profound mechanism of 'bevel gears' by interacting with it. Enjoy the beauty of conical gears smoothly transmitting power and the fun of touching the basics of mechanical engineering.

The paper used for this project is KOKUYO heavyweight paper (A4 size), 0.17mm thick.
Fast-drying wood glue is easy to handle for adhesion.
12gear_wheel, 12gear_teeth-2, 12gear_teeth-3
Carefully glue the valley of the teeth to the colored part of the 12gear_wheel.
After gluing the 12gear_wheel, glue the other end of 12gear_teeth-2 and 12gear_teeth-3.
Glue 12gear_teeth-1.
Align the triangle mark on 12gear_teeth-4 with the one on 12gear_teeth-1 and glue them together.
Create the large bevel gear (18 teeth) following the same procedure as in STEP 1.
box_lower-1, box_lower-2, box_lower-3, box_lower-4
Align the triangle marks on box_lower-2 and box_lower-4.
Apply glue to the two perpendicular faces of each frame-1, frame-2, frame-3, and frame-4, then insert and glue them.
Align the triangle marks on box_top and glue it.
Insert and glue the 18gear_shaft.
Insert the large bevel gear (18 teeth) and glue the 18gear_stopper to the end of the shaft.
Caution!! When gluing, make sure the gear shaft and the box do not stick together.
Place the small bevel gear (12 teeth) inside the box, then insert the 12gear_shaft1-1 from the outside of the box, through the gear, and out the other side.
The colored part of 12gear_shaft1-1 will align with the width of the gear.
Glue 12gear_stopper-3 to the end of the gear shaft (be careful not to glue it to the box).
Create the stoppers 12gear_stopper-1 and 12gear_stopper-2 as shown in the right photo.
Pass the stoppers through the shaft.
Insert and glue 12gear_shaft-2 and 12gear_shaft1-2.
